David Arquette to serve as grand marshal of McDonald's Thanksgiving Parade

The parade, which features marching bands and giant helium balloons, travels on State Street from Congress Parkway to Randolph Street and is scheduled for 8-11 a.m. Nov. 26. 

WGN TV will air the event live. The Black Ensemble Theater, Goodman Theatre and Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey are slated to stage performances. 

The Willis Clan, a family band whose tragedy helped expose Illinois corruption, is also slated to perform.  

David is to star in "Sherlock Holmes" at the Oriental Theatre from Nov. 24-29.

David Arquette heading to Toronto for 'Sherlock Homes' production

David Arquette is set to star in late Canadian playwright Greg Kramer's production of "Sherlock Holmes" in Toronto. 

Starvox Entertainment says the "Scream" star will play the title role in the show, which will preview in Los Angeles before premiering at Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre from Oct. 27-Nov. 8.

It will then go on a multi-city U.S. tour, with stops including Washington and Chicago. The award-winning play is an original adaptation inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's tales. 

It premiered at The Segal Centre in Montreal in 2013 under the direction of Andrew Shaver, who is behind this latest remount. 

The nine-person cast also includes Michael Trevino of "The Vampire Diaries" as Dr. John Watson. 

"I am beyond excited to play one of the most loved characters in all literature, stage and screen," Arquette said in a statement. "Some may think I'm an odd choice. I am. I'm odd but thankfully so is he."

David Arquette Talks Girlfriend Christina McLarty's Pregnancy: "It's All New, But It's All Beautiful"

Proud papa! Actor David Arquette had no problem gushing about his pregnant girlfriend Christina McLarty and their future son at The Art of Elysium's 7th Annual HEAVEN Gala in Los Angeles on Jan. 11.

The 42-year-old welcomed daughter Coco with ex-wife Courteney Cox in June 2004, and could not be more excited for his second child.

"I’ve done it once," he told Us. "It’s all new, but it’s all beautiful." Arquette says he's excited for, "playing catch, making [his son] laugh, and seeing my girlfriend Christina being a mother for the first time and all the joy and love that it’s going to bring her and me."

McLarty attended the event with Arquette, who says the pregnant TV personality craves eggs benedict "first thing in the morning with extra hollandaise!" 

Though he's known for his eccentric tendencies, the Scream 4 actor says his son's name won't be "too quirky."

"I think we will go with something a little more traditional," he revealed.

David Arquette: Having a Second Child Is Less Scary

Becoming a father can be a daunting prospect, but as David Arquette prepares for his baby boy on the way, the actor is not letting the stress get to him.

“I know I’ve done it once so there’s not that fear that a first-time parent has because you just don’t know what to expect,” Arquette, 42, told PEOPLE after the TCAs panel at the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, Calif. on Sunday.

“Animals across the world have babies and they know how to take care of them instinctually. Us humans get so in our heads about it all but as soon as the baby comes it is just instinct.” But Arquette who is already a parent to his daughter Coco, 9, with ex-wife Courteney Cox  admits that becoming a father is a life changer and he is making sure to schedule his work with his girlfriend Christina McLarty‘s due date in mind. 

“I had to make sure they could get out in time long before my baby would be born,” says Arquette of his four-week shooting schedule on location in Puerto Rico for seasons 2 and 3 of his Crackle show Cleaners. Arquette is also looking forward to some extra bonding time with Coco during her final months as an only child and plans on having her join him on location in the coming weeks. 

“Whenever you get to do that you have to take them out of school for a few days, but it’s such a great bonding experience because she gets to see what we do on the set,” he says. “It’ll be a really good time.” And when it comes to possible trips with his new bundle of joy, don’t expect Arquette to play things too safe with his newborn. “You have to have a lot of faith that you will be able to keep them safe and not mess them up too much,” he says.

David Arquette To Star In Lifetime Movie About ‘Happy Face Killer’ Keith Jesperson

Before The Mentalist‘s Red John, there was 1990s serial killer Keith Hunter Jesperson, known as the “Happy Face Killer” because of the happy face he drew on a bathroom wall and in anonymous letters he sent to the media and prosecutors during his spree. David Arquette is set to portray the Canadian murderer in Happy Face (working title), a Lifetime original movie about the infamous case. A troubled kid of an abusive alcoholic father who tortured and killed animals and attempted to kill kids who bullied him, Jesperson spent 15 years as a married truck driver with three kids before getting divorced in 1990 and pursuing a career as a policeman. After an injury derailed his plan, he returned to truck driving and launched his murdering spree which spanned six U.S. states. Jesperson, who is serving life in prison, clams to have killed 160 people, but only eight victims have been confirmed, including his girlfriend, which led to his 1995 capture. Rick Bota will direct Happy Face from a script by Richard Christian Matheson. Tom Patricia and Harvey Kahn executive produce for Happy Face Prods/ Front Street Pictures. Filming is slated to begin in November in Vancouver. Arquette, repped by APA and Untitled, just wrapped the indie Chuck Hank And The San Diego Twins and is filming the psycho-sexual indie drama The Key. He is starring in Sony Pictures TV/Crackle’s crime/thriller web series Cleaners and the unscripted Sundance Channel series Dream School.

David Arquette Helps Raise Money For Community Center

David Arquette is raising money for the Ocean Park Community Center; which helps the homeless, people living with mental illness, at risk youth and victims of domestic violence with housing, food and other services.

He does this through the Vintage Hollywood Foundation wine and food fundraiser, being held on June 8 at his home in Beverly Hills. The event is an intimate gathering of some of the top vintners and restaurants from around Los Angeles. 

Vintage Hollywood is outdoor event attended by approximately 350 patrons, which showcases an exclusive group of prominent restaurants and wineries. 

Celebrity guests in attendance will include Marcia Cross (Desperate Housewives), Greg Germann (House of Lies), and Kirsten Nelson (Psych). Andrea Fiuczynski, President of Christie's Los Angeles, will serve as auctioneer for a live auction of unique food, wine and entertainment experiences, and Wheel of Fortune and KNX 1070 News radio afternoon drive host Jim Thornton will be the evening's Emcee. 

Since 2001, Vintage Hollywood has raised over a million dollars to benefit our community. Proceeds from Vintage Hollywood go to the non-profit Vintage Hollywood Foundation, which promotes and supports charitable organizations that work to improve the health and well being of Southern California's diverse community. Previous beneficiaries have included JDRF, Save the Children, United Friends of the Children, and Children's Action Network. David Arquette Join Civil War Drama 'Field of Lost Shoes'

David Arquette, Lauren Holly and Tom Skerritt are starring in Field of Lost Shoes, a Civil War drama being directed by Soul Surfer helmer Sean McNamara.

The movie, which begins shooting in Virginia this week, centers on several young cadets at Virginia Military Institute who form a close band of brothers in 1864 during the Civil War in order to protect their school and homes while the Union forces invade the Shenandoah Valley.

Arquette will play a Union artillery officer while Holly is visiting mom who ends up nursing wounded cadets. Thomas F. Farrel II is producing. 

Arquette, repped by APA and Untitled, did voicework for Tron: Uprising as well Jake and the Never Land Pirates for Disney.

Sony’s Crackle Takes David Arquette to Cleaners

David Arquette will star in crime-action series “Cleaners,” among the six original shows and two feature-length films Sony Pictures Television’s Crackle online video network has slated for 2013. 

“Quality and differentiated content that is programmed and presented in meaningful ways is more important than ever before,” Eric Berger, exec veep of digital networks at Sony Pictures Television and GM of Crackle, said at the company’s Digital Content NewFronts event in Gotham. 

Crackle, he said, is the only digital video service with professionally produced content that is freely available to consumers across multiple platforms. SPT positions the site as in the same category as Hulu, as the only two sites that provide ad-supported, long-form content. 

Because SPT follows a studio model, Crackle’s 2013 slate is “all greenlit and guaranteed to go forward,” Berger said in his pitch to the crowd of ad buyers. 

“I like that it’s backed by Sony,” said Arquette, who in “Cleaners” plays an FBI agent. “They know what they are doing. And it won’t be canceled after a couple of episodes.”

In “Cleaners,” Arquette costars with Emmanuelle Chriqui (Entourage). Series of six half-hour episodes, to bow November 2013, revolves on two young femme contract killers who become target of FBI probe. 

Cast of “Cleaners” also includes Missi Pyle (“The Artist,” “Big Fish”), Emily Osment (“Hannah Montana”), Gina Gershon (“Face/Off”), Nathan Keyes (“The Kinds of Summer”) and Clifton Collins Jr. (“Star Trek”). Skein is written and directed by Paul Leyden (“The Factory”) and produced by Full Clip Productions and Sam Worthington.

David Arquette reveals why he became a breast cancer advocate

Whenever actor David Arquette’s 8-year-old daughter, Coco, laughs, he’s reminded of his Mardi, his mother. “It’s pretty amazing,” he says. “I can see things about my mother in my daughter. Sometimes, when her feelings get hurt, I’ll hear it in the tone of her voice.” Unfortunately, Mardi never got to meet Coco. She died from breast cancer in 1997 at 58. “That’s the saddest thing,” says David. “I would have loved for my mother to have been able to hold Coco and get to know her.”

Despite the passage of time, David, 41, who is best known for his roles in the popular Scream movies, still finds it difficult to talk about Mardi. “My mother was a wonderful, very spiritual person,” he says in a voice thick with emotion. He clearly remembers the day Mardi broke the news of her illness to him and his four siblings, Rosanna, Patricia, Alexis and Richmond. “She downplayed it like it was going to be okay,” he says. “I was shocked.”

Mardi underwent chemotherapy and radiation. When the treatments made her ill, she tried holistic remedies. “I’d go to stay with her, and her body would be purple from something she’d tried,” David recalls. 

David urged his mother to get a mastectomy, but she resisted. Eventually, it was too late—the cancer had spread. “She had breast cancer for nine years and seemed pretty healthy most of that time,” he recalls. “It was toward the end when she took a turn for the worse.”

Finding a healthy way to cope 

The stress of Mardi’s illness took an enormous toll on the actor. “It was the first time in my life that my drinking really escalated,” says David, who has been sober since January 2011. “I wasn’t dealing with the situation with a clear mind. I was trying to numb my feelings.”

Ultimately, David found healthier outlets for his pain. Art became an important escape for him. “I painted all these spirit-like figures around a glowing heart-shaped light,” he says. “It was my mother in the middle and all of my family members around her. That was healing. It was the best way for me to cope.” 

As Mardi’s condition worsened, David and his brother, Richmond, moved her bed outdoors so she could enjoy fresh air and nature. She passed away on a beautiful August day, and David was relieved that her suffering was over. Still, he admits, “There’s a terrible, hard mourning process. [For instance], you want to call [your loved one] and then it hits you that she’s gone. You really feel the loss.”

A passionate breast cancer advocate 

Mardi’s battle motivated David to support breast cancer charities, such as the Susan G. Komen Foundation. He’s attended the Revlon Run/Walk for Women, a fundraiser that supports women’s cancer research, and he knitted a scarf, which appeared in the book Celebrity Scarves 2: Hollywood Knits for Breast Cancer Research (Sixth & Spring Books). A portion of the book sales goes to the Avon Foundation, which raises funds for breast cancer research and screening.

David is especially passionate about his involvement with the Keep A Breast Foundation, whose mission is to provide young adults with information about prevention, early detection and support via tongue-in-cheek “I Heart Boobies” apparel and accessories. David finds Keep A Breast’s hip sensibility refreshing. “They’re using humor to raise awareness and educate people about getting themselves checked for breast cancer,” he explains. “One of their ad campaigns encourages spouses or boyfriends to check. That’s a public service announcement I did—‘Check, it can be fun!’ They’re being silly but logical because they’re making people aware that not every woman checks herself.” 

David’s advice for others who have loved ones suffering from cancer? “Everyone deals with it in different ways,” he says. “One of the most important things [I’ve learned] is not to take things personally if someone is dealing with the situation in a different way than you are. Try to be understanding.”

David Arquette excited about Bootsy Bellows Paris pop up

David exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It's really exciting, we're throwing a big party and it's going to be crazy. I'm bringing a puppet, we're giving out free candy. We've got lots of fun stuff planned.

"Paris is one of my favourite cities, it's so beautiful and romantic and eventually we'd love to open up a club there but for now we're so excited about this pop up."

The fun loving star says his club is a "forget your problems kind of place" and warns it is not for wallflowers."

He added: "We're all about providing an alternative nightclub experience where people can come to have some of the best times of their life.

"Our emphasis is on fun. It's not about being a wallflower, it's about laughing with your friends, we have crazy costumes, dancers and puppets. "You'd be surprised by how excited people get when we give out candy. They have this childlike reaction of pure excitement and that's what we want people to have when they come to Bootsy Bellows. That youthful energy, experiencing life, being alive and just having fun with it. It's a forget your problems kind of place."

David Arquette to bring Bootsy Bellows to Paris

David Arquette is bringing his Hollywood nightclub to Paris for Fashion Week. 

The 41-year-old actor and his business partners John Terzian, Brian Toll and Markus Molinari, will host a pop of version of Bootsy Bellows at Le Bar du Plaza Athenee in the French capital on Saturday (02.03.13) and David is even taking along his famous puppets from the Los Angeles hotspot.

Speaking in Los Angeles, John exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "We have very strong relationships with fashion brands and the fashion world so it was important for us to do something during Fashion Week. The whole vibe and decor of Bootsy Bellows just fits with Paris and Fashion Week."

"It's going to be very similar to over here but David has got some exciting things planned with the marionettes. The puppets were David's idea from the start. When we first spoke about opening the club we sat down and David said he wanted something different and unique. His whole thing is the puppets and the show and I think it's genius. 

"We just want to give a little taste of what we do and bring some of LA to Paris."

Bootsy Bellows was the moniker David's mother used during her days as a burlesque dancer and the actor is heavily involved with all aspects of the club. 

John explained: "David is very hands on, that was very important from the beginning and I don't think any of us would have it any other way. He is an extremely active partner, he makes the brand come alive and we all love working with him."

Heaven gala takes over L.A.'s 2nd Street tunnel

Every year the org, which helps hospitalized children, picks an artist to transform a space into their personal vision of heaven. On Saturday night, Atwood transformed the 2nd Street highway tunnel in downtown L.A into a space packed with stars instead of cars. 

David Arquette, recipient of the Spirit of Elysium Award, said he was no stranger to the location. "Strangely enough, this isn't the first time I've partied in the 2nd Street tunnel. Last time was with a can of spray paint," he noted as a big blue eye watched the tunnel's partygoers and images of clouds floated on the walls. Arquette went on to credit the org with "providing kids with an opportunity to escape with imagination."

On Thanksgiving, David Arquette, an American actor, film director, producer, screenwriter, and fashion designer, adopted a Basset Hound named Dallas from Last Day Dog Rescue.

Arquette reported that he was on the hunt for a Basset Hound for his girlfriend, Christina McLarty, who grew up with Basset Hounds.

The couple considered several options, but in the end decided that rescuing a dog in need was the best option for them. Dallas was the perfect match for them, as he was on his last day in a high-kill shelter

David Arquette Keeps Daughter Coco, 8, Grounded

Even though her divorced parents Courteney Cox and David Arquette are both superstars, the eight-year-old doesn’t enjoy over-the-top adventures like the thrilling helicopter rides Tom Cruise likes to lavish on his six-year-old daughter with Katie Holmes.

“We try not to spoil her,” David, 41, tells me this week during the Angel Ball to benefit Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation For Cancer Research held at Cipriani Wall Street in NYC. “It’s important for kids to stay grounded. It’s crazy growing up in Hollywood, so we just try to keep her connected, real, human and honest.”

Still, that doesn’t mean Coco’s parents are always perfect. 

“You always make mistakes, but it’s best to learn from them,” the actor says. “Hopefully they don’t cause too much heartache.” 

One thing Coco can anticipate is a fun time trick-or-treating this Halloween. 

“I think she’s a devil-angel mix,” he says.

Yoram Eliyahu comments on David Arquette’s Chabad visit

The Chabad Residential Treatment Center in Los Angeles, California received a visit from David Arquette last Thursday. Chabad is an international Jewish organization that helps Jews in various ways. Chabad supporter Yoram Eliyahu thanks David Arquette for supporting Jewish causes.

David Arquette is a widely known actor, director, producer and screenwriter. His renown even includes involvement in fashion design and professional wrestling. What many people may not know about the superstar is that he’s a devout Jew. Arquette’s mother was Jewish, and he converted from Catholicism. He recently had his own bar mitzvah to celebrate his conversion.

The Jewish community has welcomed him with open arms. Arquette has found it easy to connect with the Jewish community. He’s become a supporter of Jewish causes. In fact, he recently paid a visit to a Los Angeles community center.

The Chabad Residential Treatment Center provides the citizens around Los Angeles with many services. Its basis is the international organization known as Chabad. Chabad works in over a 1,000 cities around the world to help the Jewish community.

The treatment center in Los Angeles hosts many residents with various addictions and conditions. Arquette went to the center to share his own story of alcoholism and addiction. The residents of the treatment center shared their appreciation for Arquette’s visit. They told of how they felt empowered to overcome their issues because of Arquette’s own story.

Donna Miller is the head of the Los Angeles Chabad center. Over the course of her leadership tenure, she’s seen thousands of people join the journey to recovery. She’s happy to know that Arquette’s story has touched the residents of the center.

Chaim Marcus, one of the center’s executives, helped set up David’s Thursday visit. Marcus notes the incredible impact of his stay. “You could feel the energy in the room change,” he said. He described David’s story as inspiring.

Chabad supporter Yoram Eliyahu thanks Arquette and others who give their time to Chabad. The ministries and services that Chabad oversees make difference in the lives of communities. Communities grow and strengthen because of Chabad’s—and Arquette’s—work.

David Arquette Gives Back at Chabad Treatment Center

David Arquette paid a visit last Thursday to the Chabad Residential Treatment Center in Los Angeles, to share his personal struggles with alcoholism, addiction, and sobriety in a discussion with the center’s residents.

“I’ve always been a fan of Arquette’s work, so to see someone who reached the height of success and he also has to deal with these issues, that made me feel like I can overcome this as well,” said Michael K., one of the center’s residents.

Under the leadership of Donna Miller, the center has helped thousands of people battle their addictions and move forward with their “long and arduous road to recovery”, according to a Chabad representative.

“David was very open and deeply personal during his share, you could feel the energy in the room change. His taking time to reach out and inspire is itself inspiring,” said advertising executive Chaim Marcus, who helped arrange Arquette’s visit.

Marcus also afforded the forty-one year old actor an opportunity to have a second “bar mitzvah” by helping him don Tefillin and praying for himself and the center’s residents.

Arquette will discuss his visit during an interview with Larry King on September 9th, at the annual Chabad Telethon.

“This year, Chabad has been inundated with more requests than ever for food, clothing, shelter, scholarships and rehabilitation,” said Rabbi Chaim Cunin, Executive Producer of the 2012 Chabad Telethon. “At the same time, charitable donations have been at historic lows. So we will work harder than ever, we will dance more than ever, and pour our hearts out more than ever, on behalf of those in need who rely on this Telethon for assistance.”

The Telethon will broadcast live on Sept. 9 from 8-11 p.m. on KTLA5 in Los Angeles, WLNY 10/55 in New York, KTSF 26 in S. Francisco, nationwide on JLTV and worldwide on ToLife

David Arquette is set to star opposite Lily Cole and Goran Kostic in the apocalyptic pic "Orion," which Asiel Norton is helming. Traction Media is producing.

Arquette plays a hunter who is fighting his way through a futuristic wasteland in search of his brother. Pic lenses next month in Detroit.

David Arquette helps donate organic baby food to mothers at Bronx

Anna DiNardo was simply gushing as she stocked up on free boxes of Plum Organics baby food.

“This is amazing. God bless you,” she said, smiling at film and TV actor David Arquette.

Arquette stopped by a Bronx non-profit Monday to help hand out hundreds of boxes of the organic baby food during a giveaway sponsored by online retailer, ecomom.com.

DiNardo, 41, of Throggs Neck, was among more than 50 women and children at the event at the Women's Housing and Economic Development Corp. (WHEDco) in Mount Eden.

Tyreka Martin, 35, a single mother, stopped by with her 14-month old, Xavier.

“This is so great. I’m so glad I came because this is going to help me a lot,” she said, looking down at her son who was busy gobbling up some pears. “And it looks like he really likes it.”

Arquette, known for campy roles in movies like Scream and Eight Legged Freaks, said he jumped at the chance to help out.

“I was in the lunch program at school and we were on food stamps. When times got tough for my family, we definitely needed help and that’s something I always remember,” he said.

“When you get out and meet people, you see that the faces of hunger in America are our neighbors. They’re good people who just need a little help every once in a while.”

Nancy Biberman, who heads the non profit, called the donation a “phenomenal gift.”

“With the Bronx being a food desert, getting fresh produce can be a real challenge,” she said. “We’re delighted with this.”

For each order received, ecomom.com donates one day’s worth of food for a child in need. So far this year, said co-founder Jody Sherman, the company has donated 45,000 days worth of food.

“A lot of kids don’t have access to good, healthy food,” Sherman said. “We’ve always had charity as part of what we do and we’ve found that one of the best ways to do that is to solve a real problem, like childhood food inequity.”

DiNardo runs a small daycare. With her husband on disability, she is the sole provider for her three children.

“This is definitely a blessing,” she said, holding 10-month old daughter, Angelina. “I’m trying to raise her on all organic food but it gets expensive. I try to save money but it’s not easy. So something like this is such a blessing.”

Cecilia Rojas is a stay-at-home mom to three children, including 6-month old, Manuel. The family lives off the income of her husband, who works at a recycling center.

“I like organic but it’s expensive,” said Rojas, 40, of Mount Eden. “For the kids, you have to buy no matter if it costs a lot of money. This will help us.”
