David Arquette: Back to Work and Directing 'CSI: Miami'

David Arquette made headlines as a result of his separation from wife Courteney Cox. Now, the 'Scream' actor is doing his best to move on and get back to work with a directing shot on "CSI: Miami."
David had previously directed three episodes of "Medium," which is from the same production company as "CSI: Miami," so they knew he could direct episodic television.
"Working on the show's been a real blessing," he tells ET's Kevin Frazier, who is exclusively on the set. "It came at a perfect time."
"I've got to say, the guy's great," David Caruso, who stars as Horatio Caine, says. "We're having a great time with him and hope he comes back many, many times."
It is almost a month since Courteney and David made headlines with the news that they were separating, and while it has been tough, David says he understands it.
"When the media gets ahold of something and find a story in it, they really attack," he says. "It has been intense, but I get it. It is provocative. We are a celebrity couple. It is no big surprise that what we are going through becomes news."
That said, David is still hoping for a happy ending, telling Kevin, "I love her with all my heart, and she loves me. We'll see what happens. Life is a learning experience, and we're growing and we're learning. We'll figure it out."
In the episode that David is directing, an Internet relationship goes bad.
Adam Rodriguez fills us in, saying, "There's a bad guy, he's a killer, we catch him, we crack some heads in the process and we get him in the end."
Next for David is an acting job playing his real-life sister Patricia's brother on "Medium."
"This is a role that was already cast. They tried to cast me a few years ago, but I was on something and I wasn't available. So, they cast another actor. Then the second episode, I directed him. The third one, he wasn't available, so I am getting to play the part I was supposed to play in the beginning. I am going to play her brother, so it is kind of a stretch," he jokes.
Both the episode of "CSI: Miami" that David directed and his episode of "Medium" will air in the beginning of 2011, while 'Scream 4' hits theaters April 15.
